It's been a while...

I know, I know… I’ve been MIA lately… don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you guys!  I have been taking some time off as my belly grows to enjoy these last couple months as “just the 3 of us.”  We’ve been working hard on decorating Ava’s new big girl room and I can’t wait to share pictures!  She is growing up so fast and is so excited about becoming a big sister!  

I miss taking photos and took some time this evening to pull some of my favorites from over the past year.  I hope you enjoy them!

When Ashley first came up with the concept of photographing Robert and me in a vintage theme setting, I instantly fell in love with the idea. However, I knew our challenge would be to get my very manly boyfriend to go along with the idea of dressing up in a newsboy hat and suspenders. With a small amount of coaxing (and a promise of a peanut butter pie) we achieved our goal.

Words cannot express how much I adore the photographs that Ashley took. She truly captured the essence of our relationship with photography. We are a young couple who values timeless traditions and the simplicity of the days of yesterday.  From staying home on Friday nights to read (we are nerds at heart), relaxing on the water with a picnic, or visiting with our friends and family, we enjoy spending time with one another that mirrors how our grandparents most likely spent their time courting one another.  Ashley’s vision for our photo session was picture perfect! She is a professional in every sense and her attention to detail is what makes her talent shine. Ashley’s work speaks for itself but what is just as important is how enjoyable she made the entire experience for us. Even Robert, who has a pinch of camera phobia, mentioned how Ashley was unlike any other photographer because she didn’t direct or bark orders to us. She just let us be and turned our sweet moments into timeless treasures that we will cherish for the rest of our lives......
